Think about using one on your website banner so your clients get to see you from the minute they go to your website. ⁠

Your “About Me” page sets the tone for what the reader can expect if they continue to read your blog, sign up for your newsletter, or even hire you. Consider including a candid at-work or day-in-the-life-of image. Just one image can tell an entire story. ⁠

You might also want to showcase your products and/or services. Blog posts are also better with accompanying images.⁠

You have booked in your photoshoot, you have taken care of your beauty routines but now comes the scariest question of all “WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?” It’s certainly one I get asked all the time!⁠

Many clients spend a lot of time going through their existing clothes or buying new outfits (what better excuse to go shopping!). It’s good to put the effort in because these photos will last forever.⁠

My BEST advice is to be yourself! Choose clothing that fits you well, fits your personal “style”, and makes you feel good.⁠

How do YOU dream of being photographed? You can be as casual or as glamorous as you choose. With the chance to wear several different outfits, you can aim for a variety of styles. Try to bring outfits that are unique in colour and/or mood. This can include dresses, favourite jeans, a lovely blouse, or even lingerie.⁠

One of the best parts of a portrait experience with me is the part where you get to put on a beautiful dress and play dress ups. It's so much fun.⁠

You will already have you hair and makeup professionally styled so then it is up to me to capture you at your best. But don't forget to book a night out later that evening as you will look gorgeous!

Don’t make this MISTAKE when you are having professional photography done.⁠

Have you ever been in a photo and wished you had got your hair style refreshed, your nails done or had a facial beforehand? Big mistake! This will cost you time and money and perhaps photos that you don’t like!⁠
⁠
Of course these are not necessary things that you need to do but if you do, it is better to book them in before you pay for professional photos.⁠
⁠
MY BEST TIPS:⁠
* Hair colouring (including touching up roots) - a week before. Haircut – two weeks before.⁠
⁠
* Eyebrows waxed or threaded - at least a few days before.⁠
⁠
* Facials should be done at least a week before⁠
⁠
* Avoid chipped nail polish or crazy patterns. French manicures, light/natural colours and even nails with no colour at all photograph best.⁠
⁠
