WELCOME TO MICHELLE LEHR - PHOTOGRAPHER
FINE ART LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY
I love the process of creating fine art landscape photography. I am a Brisbane based Photographer and have always travelled regularly to Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, where I fell in love with the beach. When I first learnt photography, I would bring my camera down and capture the movement of the water, the beautiful clear colours of the ocean, reflections in the water on the sand, the stunning sunsets and the way the light danced on and over the waves.
I have an underwater camera and also recently purchased a drone which I love as much as any of my other cameras. So I can capture images on land, in the sea and in the air! It is interesting to explore other angles and views than just standing on the ground can produce. My love of photography started with the ocean but has evolved over the years to include many other natural landscapes and wildlife my travels have taken me to. I have photographed all around the world over the last 20+ years. You can find more about me here or my process of creating my fine art landscape photography below.
I’d love to invite you take a moment to view my current collection of photographs, all of which are available for purchase as prints. They are perfect for wall décor or as framed, canvas, metal or acrylic artwork for homes and offices. I can ship them all over Australia. For international shipping please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your individual requirement.
My fine art landscape photography collection contains images of:
• landscapes/seascapes – mountains to oceans
• sunrises and sunsets in a variety of locations
• wildlife such as bears, raccoons, tigers, gorillas, zebra and many more
• beautiful and colourful flowers and trees
• images that represent all seasons including snow for winter, autumn/fall colours, beach scenes for summer and floral displays for spring
• various locations around the world showcasing Australian landscape photography, American landscape photography and Canadian landscape photography.
I also have some images that have been made into inspirational cards. These are available on my store.
If there are any style of images or locations you are specifically looking for that aren’t shown here, please inquire with me and I will see if there is anything that matches your request.

MY PROCESS - HOW DO I CREATE MY WALL ART?
A Moment In Time
I love the excitement and potential of capturing a magical moment in time. There is more to fine art landscape photography than just pointing the camera and depressing the shutter button and hitting print. First, there is the discovery of a scene or place and recognising its beauty and how best to angle my camera, set the technical elements such aperture, speed and ISO based on the available light. I can often be found sitting quietly on a rock at the beach or in the mountains or flying my drone high in the sky, waiting for the “magic” to happen and this is when I am in my happy place.
Sometimes there are no do overs, you either captured the image or missed it. Capturing a wave at the beach, a bear walking through the woods, the final vibrant colours of a sunset. These moments are fleeting and never to be repeated exactly the same as that moment.
Choosing the right photograph to print
I am inspired the most to produce images that truly speak to my soul. I don’t believe in over processing an image but I do adjust for contrast, exposure, cropping and painting with light and dark to highlight the important parts of my image. Black & white sometimes also looks better.
I aim to recreate the image as close to what I saw with my naked eye to transport you to these places and have you experience the raw wonder and beauty of our world. My nature and landscape photography will bring vibrant colour and energy or calm relaxing moods into any home or office and may even let you reminisce about a time you visited the same or a similar location, time of day, reason or season.
Transformed Into Art For Wall Decor
Finally there is the excitement of seeing the final result printed. It can be a long time between waiting for the moment, pressing the shutter, editing in Photoshop and then seeing it come to life in print. Fine Art Landscape photographs can look quite different depending on which format is used.
From Framed Fine Art Prints to Wall Art Acrylic or Wall Art Metal which makes colours pop or traditional Wall Art Canvas. I have tested a multitude of labs, papers, and mediums before deciding to utilise the print products I do. My prints are all created using gallery quality presentation mediums in a choice of sizes and formats. Descriptions of these formats can be found on the Wall Art Print – Products page. If you are wondering whether to invest in quality wall art or just picking up a cheap print, this helpful article points out the pros and cons of each.
